The Lviv High Castle or Lviv Castle Hill is currently the highest point in the city, 413 meters (1,355 ft) above sea level. The castle currently stands in ruins. These hills are also part of the main European water divide that splits rivers feeding the Baltic and the Black seas. As a result, Lviv is divided into the Baltic and the Black Sea parts.
On Castle Hill, there is an observation deck. You can enjoy a beautiful panorama of Lviv: domes of churches, roofs of houses, streets and parks… After climbing up to the top of Castle Hill we will descent to visit the “Museum of the oldest monuments of the city”. Here you will see a model which reproduces how the Medieval Lviv looked like.
