Holy Dormition Pochayiv Lavra is a monastery in Pochayiv, Ternopil region, Ukraine. For centuries, it has been a famous center of various Orthodox denominations in Western Ukraine. This ancient monastery is under special protection of the Theotokos. The Most Pure One appeared here to the monks in a pillar of fire and left Her Footprint in the rock upon which She stood. The Pochayiv wonder-working Icon of the Mother of God made this land world-famous.
Close to Pochaiv is Saint Anna’s Sacred Spring, a small site containing a beautiful garden, a charming cathedral and its famous water. People bath in the spring the whole year, so don’t forget your towels and other bathing things.

- Start at 8:40 a.m. – Halytska Square, near the monument to King Danylo Halytskyi. You can buy tickets for tour (in advance) in our office at Rynok Square, 29 (the office is located in the courtyard).
