Lviv Historical Museum was founded in 1893 and is one of the oldest museums in Ukraine. Museum exhibits are located in the monuments of architecture XVI–XVIII centuries – houses № 4,6,24 on the Rynok square and in the former City Arsenal on the Pidvalna Str, 5. In the house number 4, you can see the exhibition devoted to the struggle of the Ukrainian people for their own state in the XIX–XX centuries. In the house number 6 you`ll find an exhibition “Historical value”, which includes furniture, clocks, porcelain, antique decorations and collection of silverware and glasses.House number 24 exhibits materials on the foundation of Lviv, doings of the city founder Danylo Galitsky and struggle of the Ukrainian people under the leadership of Bogdan Khmelnitsky. And the former city arsenal is a museum of historical weapons.
