During this excursion you will visit the oldest part of the city including: ancient church of St. Nicolas (where King Leo planed to be buried), the Basilian monastery and Greek Catholic church of St. Onuphrius ( Ivan Fedorovych, the first Ukrainian printer, worked in the monastery at the end of 16th century and is buried there), St. Paraskeva Church (here is unique iconostasis – masterpiece of iconography, dated XVI – XVII), John the Baptist cathedral – which was built for Konstanciya – wife of King Leo. In 1993 near cathedral and its courtyard the Museum of the oldest monuments of the city was organized . Nowadays you can see a model which reproduces how the Medieval Lviv looked like. We will finish our excursion climbing up to the Castle Hill – it’s the highest point of city where you can enjoy the breathtaking panorama of Lviv.
